Issue Areas/Comments
I feel that "downers" should not be allowed to be used in any food supply, human or otherwise. As long as there is an economic viability in a "downer" animal, there is no reason for the food animal industry to provide adequate care for animals to ensure there are no "downers." Allowing them to be sold to be used in animal feed will allow more animals to become "downers" and suffer needlessly. Please do not allow "downers" to be used for any food or feed. Thank you.
