Comments for FDA General
1. Is the proposed collection of information necessary for the proper performance of FDA's functions? Will the information have practical utility? No comment.
2. What is the accuracy of FDA's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used? The estimate seems to include only the time for testing, but omit the costs of the materials and their disposal. It does not explicitly address whether this testing is destructive in nature. These costs are material.
3. What are ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected? No comment.
4. What are ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques, when appropriate, and other forms of information technology? No comment.
5. General Comments The spirit and purpose of this disclosure for comment should be to assess the true burden upon whoever is mandated to provide reports or information. This being the case, the quality of the estimate should be complete and the burden on the reporting entity should be clear, or the purpose of the disclosure is defeated.
