Comments for FDA General
1. General Comments Dr. Delap, Gentlemen and Gentleladies: You have the golden opportunity to show the American public that the Clinton administration is not totally corrupt and accepting money under-the-table from the pharmacutical industry. Claritin, Mevacor, Pravachol, Viagra, and a host of other Rx medications need to be classified as OTC drugs. Let's stop this drain on the American public's pocketbook. If Canadians and Mexicans can buy the identical drugs at less than 1/3 price that Americans must pay, then something is wrong and its time for a change. Americans are gouged by the pharmacutical industry six-ways from Sunday and the President wants to give them even more money as part of his proposed drug plan. In a side-by-side article to the FDA's Drug debate announcement, in the 6/27/2000 edition of the Arizona Republic, your President Clinton announces his plan to give the pharmacutical industry a huge chunk of the projected $1.87 TRILLION budget surplus rather than give the American taxpayer a tax reduction. Who in the world is he trying to schmooz and lie to now? FDA, do what is morally correct in your decision on these drugs. Take the initiative and make them OTC not Rx drugs. You will show the American public that you are not the pawns of the President or his boys in the Rx drug industry. Sincerely yours, R. E. Loesch, President - Glamor, Inc.
