Summary

Food and Drug Administration and United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (U.S.NRC) are holding a symposium to exchange information on each Agency’s regulatory processes for approval/clearance, and licensing of medical devices and drug products that contain nuclear materials. The symposium’s objectives are to leverage knowledge of regulated products, determine opportunities for parallel regulatory reviews, and plan for a public meeting to seek input from the regulated industry, users, and other stakeholders.
