The FDA Oncology Center of Center of Excellence presents Conversations on Cancer - Finding Calm in the Storm: Moving Toward Physical and Emotional Wellbeing. Join this 1 ½ hour informal panel discussion exploring personal perspectives from survivors, clinicians, caregivers, and behavioral health experts on the impact of cancer.
This important discussion will cover the following:
- Behavioral health considerations from diagnosis through survivorship
- barriers and challenges that may arise when seeking support, and unique considerations for marginalized populations
- effective communication strategies between patient, caregivers, and health care team to address needs in an individualized manner
- resources supporting coping, and physical and emotional wellbeing
- OCE’s efforts to ensure cancer patient experiences are incorporated into drug development and evaluation
