Event Summary

The FDA Scientific Computing Board (SCB) is excited to bring you the 14th Annual Scientific Computing Days (SCD) Symposium on January 27 – 28, 2027!  

This year’s theme, Scientific Computing in the AI Era: Opportunities, Challenges, and Responsible Practice, will explore how AI is transforming scientific computing — from new opportunities for discovery and innovation to emerging technical, operational, and responsible-use challenges. Join us for two engaging days of ideas, insights, and discussion on the future of scientific computing in the AI era. Day 1 will begin with an in-person morning opening session in White Oak Building 31, Great Room, followed by virtual programming for the remainder of the event via MS Teams. The symposium will be open to the public.

The FDA Scientific Computing Days has been the flagship annual event advocating for scientific computing to advance the agency’s public health and scientific and regulatory mission.
