Foodborne Illness Continuing Medical Education Program
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration in collaboration with the American Medical Association (AMA) has developed an education program to help physicians and other healthcare professionals diagnose and treat foodborne illness and educate patients, especially vulnerable patients, on safe food handling practices. The program includes two videos and companion education materials.
Interested physicians can earn 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM on the AMA Ed HubTM.
The scenes in these CME videos may not depict current recommended infection prevention and control practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19, as the course was produced prior to the pandemic. For the most current information from FDA on COVID-19, visit www.fda.gov/coronavirus.
