Interstate Certified Shellfish Shippers List

The Interstate Certified Shellfish Shippers List (ICSSL) is published monthly for the information and use by food control officials, seafood industry and other interested persons. The publication is distributed under authorities of the Public Health Service Act and the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in conjunction with the Office of Food Safety at the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, 5001 Campus Drive, College Park, MD 20740.

The shippers listed have been certified by regulatory authorities in the United States, Canada, Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Spain and the Netherlands under the uniform sanitation requirements of the National Shellfish Sanitation Program. Control measures of the states are evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Shippers from foreign countries are included under the terms of the shellfish sanitation arrangements with the governments of those countries.

FDA has posted Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files below. A mailing list, ICSSL-L, has been created for timely notification of posting of the latest list.

Shippers from countries within the European Union (Spain and the Netherlands) must only export shellfish from Class A production/growing areas. Please refer to this list for the names of Class A production/growing areas currently accepted (PDF - 130KB).
