Research and Collaboration
Common diseases like cardiovascular disease and diabetes may present differently or more often in racial and ethnic minorities—these are called health disparities. These populations may also respond differently to some medical products.
The Research and Collaboration Program under the FDA Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) works with FDA centers and external partners to support research studies about minority health and health disparities.
