In 2023, OMHHE established the Racial and Ethnic Minority Acceleration Consortium for Health Equity (REACH). REACH is a research consortium of organizations and institutions that aims to timely and efficiently respond to health equity focused research needs.

Learn about their work by visiting the Webinars and Presentations page. There you will find webinars featuring various REACH members, where they discuss their health equity research as well as the National Minority Health Month 2024 panel discussion titled “Strategies to Increase Clinical Trial Participation for Diverse Communities.”

REACH Consortium Communities

The REACH consortium was created to lead from the core concepts of trust, respect, and relationship-building with three main goals:

  • To create a collaborative environment to meet the needs of diverse communities
  • To continuously strengthen a bidirectional relationship and communication
  • To identify opportunities for collaboration to advance health equity for racial and ethnic minority and underserved populations

REACH consortium members are leading projects in diverse communities. Visit the OMHHE Enhance Equity Research Hub to learn about these projects which are a vital part of achieving the OMHHE mission to promote and protect the health of diverse populations through research and communication of science that address health disparities.
