The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, together with its NARMS partners (the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention & the United States Department of Agriculture) will be holding the 2017 Scientific Meeting of the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System. The purpose of this public meeting will be to summarize NARMS progress since the last public meeting in 2014, present recommendations made by the recent FDA Science Board review of NARMS in 2017, and to explore new possible directions for NARMS within a One Health paradigm.

Registration

Online advance registration for the public meeting is mandatory for in-person attendance and attendees must register by October 10 2017. On-site registration will not be permitted. To register, attendees must email laura.bradbard@fda.hhs.gov with the subject line ‘NARMS Public Meeting 2017’ and include: Name, Title, Affiliation, Address, and Telephone and Fax Numbers.

Requests to Make an Oral Presentation

Interested parties may make oral presentations on the topic of discussion at the meeting. Oral presentations from the public will be scheduled during the open public comment period between 3:40 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. on October 25, 2017. To submit a request to present, email a brief statement of the general information to be presented to laura.bradbard@fda.hhs.gov.
