Caleb Michaud, PMP, Director, Division of Organizational Communication and Engagement
Caleb Michaud serves as director of the Division of Organizational Communication and Engagement (DOCE) in the FDA Office of Inspections and Investigations (OII), where he leads OII’s strategic communication, web and digital media, public affairs, ombudsman, and executive secretariat work. Before assuming this role, he was deputy director for Office of Communication and Project Management.
Throughout his career, Mr. Michaud has partnered with senior leaders to develop cohesive strategies and implement communication activities and change management. His previous roles include senior advisor to the FDA associate commissioner for planning, where he worked across the agency to provide consultation services in strategic planning, performance monitoring, and organizational improvement. Mr. Michaud also served as a project manager in OII and project specialist in the OII Division of Federal-State Relations.
Prior to joining the FDA, Mr. Michaud served as a project manager in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agriculture Service, where he developed and executed initiatives for developing countries to improve their agriculture systems and build trade capacity. He also was a small enterprise development volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Ghana.
Mr. Michaud received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Clemson University in South Carolina and master’s certificate in project management from The George Washington University.
