Equal Employment Opportunity Services for FDA Employees

EEO services for FDA employees and applicants are provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Strategic Engagement and Partnerships. FDA no longer maintains a separate Office of Equal Employment Opportunity.

Filing an EEO complaint

FDA employees and applicants who believe they have experienced employment discrimination should contact HHS EEO as soon as possible. Generally, individuals must initiate contact with an EEO counselor within 45 calendar days of the alleged discriminatory action or the effective date of a personnel action.

You may initiate the EEO process through the HHS EEO e-File system.

HHS EEO contact information

Contacting a supervisor, Human Resources, Employee Relations, or another FDA office may not satisfy the 45-calendar-day requirement for initiating the federal EEO complaint process. Employees should contact HHS EEO directly when seeking EEO counseling.
