Conway Import Co., Inc. is Voluntarily Recalling Conway Organic Sesame Ginger Dressing and Conway Citrus Organic Vinaigrette Dressing Due to Possible Health Risk


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 17, 2015 – Conway Import Co., Inc. is recalling Conway Organic Sesame Ginger Dressing and Conway Citrus Organic Vinaigrette Dressing because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), Endocarditis and arthritis.

Product was distributed in Illinois, Maryland, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Texas through direct deliveries.

The products were packed in plastic gallon jars with the mfg. code printed on the top of the cap and the cardboard shipping container.

There have been no illnesses reported to date.

This recall was a result of a recall by FRONTIER CO-OP for a possible health risk from ORGANIC GARLIC POWDER.
