JFC International Inc Issues Allergy Alert of Undeclared Egg Yolk in Showa Okonomiyaki Flour Mix

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- South San Francisco, CA -- January 25, 2006 -- JFC International Inc of South San Francisco, CA is recalling Showa Okonomiyaki Flour Mix, because contains undeclared egg yolk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg yolk run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Showa Okonomiyaki Flour Mix, was distributed in California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Minnesota, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, Kansas, Missouri, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and sold to wholesalers, retail stores and restaurants.

Showa Okonomiyaki Flour Mix, product of Japan, is packaged in cello bag, net weight 1.19 pounds. The UPC number on the package is 11152-02300.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered the English label did not declare egg yolk.

Anyone who has purchased this product should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact JFC International Inc. at 1-800-633-1004.
