The purpose of this public meeting was to present the key elements of five FSMA final rules to industry, academia and other interested stakeholders to address questions about the scope and implementation of the final rules, with emphasis on what foreign suppliers, producers, manufacturers, packers, holders, and U.S. importers must do to comply.

At this meeting, Michael Taylor, Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine, FDA, and other senior officials provided an overview and update on the implementation of the FSMA final rules.

These sessions included a question and answer period, as well as a panel discussion.
