The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the Department of Defense (DoD), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) are co-sponsoring a workshop, entitled “Immunology of Protection from Ebola Virus Infection.”

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss important aspects of Ebola virus and vaccine immunology in order to inform future clinical, scientific and regulatory decision-making related to vaccines against Ebola.



A webcast of the proceedings will be available live on the NIH conference website during the event, and recorded for future viewing. Webcast attendees will be able to participate in the dialogue, including asking questions during the workshop. 


Registration is now closed.

Event organizers will notify those waitlisted by email if space can be made available to accommodate in-person attendance. The registration deadlines below apply. Update: If you have not received an email confirming in-person attendance, we invite you to view the webcast.

Registration for on-site attendance (including waitlist) must be completed by December 8, 2014.  Foreign attendees (non-U.S. citizens) must be registered NO LATER THAN Monday, December 1, 2014 for purposes of satisfying our security clearance process. Note that seating is limited. There is no registration fee for this public workshop.

Directions, Metro and Parking

5601 Fishers Lane is within walking distance of the Twinbrook Metro disclaimer icon station.

Paid parking is available in the Atlantic Services Parking garage located at 5635 Fishers Lane. The entrance to the garage is on Twinbrook Parkway between Fishers Lane and Halpine Drive.  The garage can also be reached by turning left at the first access road on Fishers Lane. Only cash is accepted.

Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes to be processed through security, register and find seating.

Attendees are responsible for their own meals and refreshments. A cafeteria and coffee shop are located on-site, with food for purchase.
