Recent Recalls

  • ESSITY recalls Tork Foam Soap Extra Mild- SKU 401211, 1 liter (33.8 US Fl. Oz.), 6 bottles per corrugated box case. The product tested positive for Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia) and exceeded product release limits for bacteria.
  • Family Wellness recalls Cornstarch Baby Powder retail unit 14oz. plastic bottle- lot #18142THW, 6 retail bottles per wholesale case. Product is incorrectly labeled- label states that the product contains talc, but it does not.
  • Hain Celestial Group, Inc. recalls Avalon Organics Refreshing Lemon Bath & Shower Gel 12 fl. oz. (Lot 8081) and Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Bath & Shower Gel 32 fl. oz. (Lot 8167) bottles because of elevated levels of microbiological counts.
  • INTENZE Products, Inc. recalls Bright Red (Lot SS264) and Royal Blue (Lot SS258) 2 oz. tattoo ink bottles because of microbial organisms (bacillus halosaccharovorans, brachybacterium conglomeratum, and pseudomonas andersonii and pseudomonas balearica) in the inks.
  • Saje Natural Business Inc. recalls Saje Natural Wellness Splish Splash Gentle Baby Wash 8.5 fl. oz. and 1.7 fl. oz. bottles for potential contamination with Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
  • Bath and Body Works recalls Pure Simplicity Body Acai Berry 8 fluid oz products due to potential contamination with Enterobacter aerogenes and/or Enterobacter gergoviae.
  • Bath and Body Works recalls Pure Simplicity Body Fragrance Free 8 fluid oz products due to potential contamination with Enterobacter aerogenes and/or Enterobacter gergoviae.
  • Solid Ink recalls SOLID INK ORANGE, 2 oz, Batch #8297, EXP DATE 8/21 because FDA's National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) analyzed a sample of Solid Ink Orange (tattoo ink) (Batch #8297) which resulted positive for Bacillus pumilus, Bacillus licheniformis, and Pseudomonas sp. The Office of Cosmetics and Colors concluded that the product appears to be adulterated because it contains microorganisms at a level that exceeds acceptable limits for cosmetics.
