I sincerely hope that Hydoquinone is not taken off the market. I have been a cosmetic nurse for 5 years and most of my patients have suffered from hyperpigmentation and melasma. Hydroquinone when properly directed and used has been problem free. Many of my patients would not benifit from laser therapy to correct skin imperfections unless propholactic hydroquinone was used. It would be an insult to women to make them suffer as a knee jerk reaction to some people misusing it, by compounding higher percentages or injecting. In my practice I have found that I can improve a womans apperance significantly with the use of Obagi skin products, many of which contain hydroquinone. When the skin looks good so does the attitude which in turn provides a better atmosphere for all of us to live in. Please reconsider your plan to remove hydoquinone from the market.
Respectfully,
