| Dear FDA,
Hydroquinone is a very useful drug for people with pigment changes on the skin. Many products contain this and have been used for over 30 years without reports of problems. Patients who have used Obagi products or other products containing hydroquinone realize the importance of this medication and the significant problems that its removal from the market could pose. While I am all in favor of safety, there is no reason to believe that these products, when applied topically, are unsafe. Hopefully you are not quoting studies where this drug was injected into pregnant rats and mice in huge amounts rather than being applied topically. Some common sense should prevail here. I am asking you to keep Obagi products or other products containing hydroquinone on the market. Thank you, Shari Bromley | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
