For years I, like others, have accepted amalgam fillings from my dentist, with confidence and without question. I no longer feel that way. I am concerned and ask for appropriate action from the FDA that includes: 1) FDA requiring dentists to disclose the negative effects of mercury along with the reports to prove it 2) Defining "silver fillings" as "mercury fillings" 3) Mercury fillings no longer being needed with harmless alternatives available 4) Protecting us all from the harmful effects of mercury fillings (including neuro-toxins that harm the developing brains of children and fetuses) Amalgam fillings should be banned, and done so forthwith.
