I had "16" fillings in my teeth by 2001 when I was 24 years old. In 1993, my junior year of high school, I had 10 or so fillings with these symptoms: stuttering, panic attacks, and depression. By 2001, I had heart palpitations, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and the prior symptoms noted. None of these symptoms run in my family, except high blood pressure and cholesterol in our later years. Mercury's affect on the unborn fetus is of great importance. Dental amalgams greatly add to the total body burden of mercury on the body. A pregnant woman's mercury crosses the umbilicol cord to the fetus. Another reason to reduce mercury in the body. 40% of mercury come from the waste water of dental offices. Toxic lead was used in fillings in the early half of the 20th Century, yet mercury's more toxic than lead. Canada bans children and pregnant women from getting amalgams for good reason. Our national policy on this issue needs to change course, to put this relic to the ash heap of history. Dental amalgams are doing more untold harm than good. I can attest. Mercury took a huge toll on my life. Any notion they do "no" harm, just consider the source. People are suffering from it, and their stories remain untold. A percentage of people with MS, Parkinson's, neurological issues (migraine headaches, depression, ADD, etc), are just some shown to have high levels of mercury. Removal of amalgams, followed by oral or intravenous Chelation therapy, halts further progression. Do your home work, get educated, enhance your quality of life, health, and overall well-being. Respectfully, Scott Rossi. Email: scttrss@juno.com Pennsylvania
