Dear Mr. Adjoda

I am witing to you to have the FDA  ban the use of mercury in dental fillings.  Mercury is the second most dangerous non-radioactive element on earth. Mercury is a
neurotoxin, an endocrine disruptor, and can undermine the immune system.
Mercury in dental fillings pose a threat to pregnant women, their unborn
children as well as all who have them. 

The public is unaware that the mercury in their "silver" fillings is not
totally bound to the other metals, but escapes in the saliva and as
vapor  As a retentive toxin, mercury can build up in the body over time
and can cause seemingly unrelated health problems years later.  

In 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO), based on 700 scientific
studies, found that there was NO safe level for the use of mercury in
dental fillings. 

The dental industry should not have such  an influence over the FDA and our elected officials that they cannot do what is right to ensure the health of the people they represent.

 I am a person that was injured from having mercury fillings implanted in my body.  There are now excellent alternatives to mercury fillings.  Do what is right for the American people and ban this outdated material.
