I believe that the FDA should require dentists to disclose the potential
danger of mercury fillings, due to the known toxicity of mercury.
I realize that most people don't have adverse affects from mercury fillings,
myself included. However, I do know a number of people who have become very
ill until
their mercury fillings were removed. Therefore, the risk should be disclosed
and people made aware that a certain percentage of people will react to the
mercury and some will experience serious problems.
I hope that the FDA will enforce disclosure of this risk by dentists, and
make patients aware of alternatives.
