To Whom It May Concern:

I worked as a chairside dental assistant for almost 22 years. 1966-1988 were years before "full body armor" as I call it. No gloves, glasses or any other protective wear was used by assistants. I manipulated amalgam filling material with my bare hands with only a thin piece of cotton between my fingers and the material.

I was forced to leave my profession due to Mercury Toxicity. I was extremely ill & it has taken many, many years to reach any point of balance. My short term memory continues to be impaired. My point of exhaustion is never far away. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and legs which is worsening slowly.

It is my heart felt wish that mercury be outlawed in all dental practices for all people. I believe it to be a very deadly element that most people have no awareness of. There have been no amalgam fillings used in Scandinavia for many years and I believe that it should be that way here.

Feel free to contact me if I can offer anything else.
