| Dear Sir,
Arguably, there is disagreement about the risks and benefits of "mercury" fillings. While debate continues, it is imperative that patients are fully informed about the substances they are putting into their bodies. If there is concern about ingredients, patients should be informed. Allow educated consumers to make up their own minds. I strongly urge the FDA and ADA to make it clear that educating patients fully about amalgam fillings and the alternatives available is part of responsible, patient-friendly dental care. Yours very sincerely, Lisa Porter Jacksonville, FL | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
