| This is a great idea that is long overdue. Kudos to the FDA for having the wisdom to recognize the tremendous overall value that a standardized Unique Device Identifier (UDI) system for medical equipment brings to the table.
ECRI has a good system that is used by many healthcare facilities. ECRI's system should be given consideration when this new UDI system is developed. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
