| I am opposed to developing viral vaccines using human embryonic/fetal materials derived from elective abortions. Innocent human life is sacred at all stages of development. I do support the use of childhood vaccines which are derived from ethical sources and not from aborted humans. Like minded parents should not have to violate their conscience in order to vaccinate their children. If parents have to face this choice, some children will not be vaccinated.
It is ironic that the deadline for comments on the use of abortion derived cells lines for vaccine development is the same day we commemorate the Martyrdom of the Holy Innocents when King Herod ordered the slaughter of young males in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago.
