Dear Sirs, You have invited public comment on Docket Number 2006D-0383 which sets forth guidelines on the use of various cell lines for viral vaccine production, including aborted fetal cell lines. My wife and I are appalled that the FDA is considering using genetic technology and materials derived from aborted humans. Why would the FDA choose to use material from aborted fetuses when an ethical means exists? Please - please - use the moral alternative in future vaccine production! The moral alternative is the only alternative we could possibly accept if we are confronted with a need to receive a new vaccine in the future. Sincerely, Joseph E. Grabowski and Rita J.
