 I urge you to mandate that future vaccines be developed without the use of cell lines derived from aborted fetuses.  As scientists you know that alternatives exist.  As professionals you should know not to arrogate to yourselves the authority to dismiss ethical concerns raised by those in other fields.  As public servants you should give ear to the educated opinions of the public you serve.
