 I am writing to express my desire to see alternative vaccines that DO NOT use aborted fetal and embryonic cell lines made available to the public. The failure to make these alternative vaccines available endangers the general public beacuse of those who feel they must refuse vaccinations because of ethical problems with the current versions (in particular, the rubella and chicken pox).



I urge you to find ways of developing vaccines that do not use cells from procedures that people like myself find morally repugnant. If these vaccines are made available, it will appeal to the largest common denominator (those who take notice of fetal cell line use and those who don't). Also, people like myself will do all they can to promote awareness of their existence, thus providing an economic basis for pharmaceutical companies to market these morally non-controversial products.
