Dear Sir or Madame:
I am writing to protest the use of aborted fetal cell lines in the production of immunizations of any kind. It is unnecessary and unethical to produce vaccines in this manner and I strongly urge you to promote production using the ethical means currently available for their development. The effectiveness of immunizations is directly related to consumer compliance. If a segment of our society must refuse vaccinations based on moral grounds, the nation as a whole is put at risk. As a mom, I have already been faced with the decision not to immunize using the unethical chicken pox and rubella vaccines. As a registered nurse, I feel it my duty to promote companies and products that do not use aborted fetal cell lines and my physician husband and I will boycott those that do. We beg you to fulfill your duty to our great nation by promoting the production of ethical vaccines.
Sincerely,
Patricia M. Smith, RN
