| I request that you make vaccines available to the public that DO NOT contain material from foetuses, and that have not used embryos or foetuses at any stage in manufacture. Additionally, I request that vaccines containing foetal materials or that were manufactured using foetal cell cultures or any part of aborted foetuses be labeled as such -- and that patients be informed. I do not want to profit from abortion. Such a prospect is sickening to me. Additionally, I am very worried that if there is ANY CHANCE that the production of a vaccine depended on abortion and cells from aborted embryos and foetuses, people will have an even greater reluctance to immunize themselves and their children than they already do. Not only are there rumors and urban legends that vaccines may cause autism and deafness, but now there will also be continual suspicion that by immunizations require abortions, something I and millions of other Americans abhor. Chicken pox may have been nasty, and I would rather immunize my future children against it than have them suffer through it, along with the risk of complications. But how could I possibly do that if those immunizations were only possible thanks to the destruction of children in the womb? I couldn't and I won't. Get a different vaccine, one that I could actually consider using.
