| I am an ordinary, concerned consumer, who considers each and every embryo, beginning with its formation at conception, to deserve legal protection. That having been said, I am not interested in side-stepping the legal process, so my reason for writing is not to encourage any kind of activism on the part of the FDA. It is merely to note that I cannot, in good conscience, take any vaccine which uses materials derived from the killing of human embryos. I take this stance, not because I think it would be absolutely immoral to take advantage of the vaccines, but because I hope that putting my own life on the line, much like a hunger strike, can make it clear how strongly I believe in the worth and dignity of each of these embryos.
I humbly submit to the FDA, and to all whom it may concern, that developing vaccines which do not involve the loss of human life in order to safeguard it is the only scientifically and morally sound path to follow. David Smedberg | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
