Dear FDA:

As a citizen of the United States of America, I would like you to consider the downside to fetal stem cell research. First, it destroys the life of an unborn child - a life which, according to science, begins at the moment of conception. Second, there are no vaccines currently produced using fetal stem cells that could not be manufactured with stem cells from a newborn's umbilical chord, or even from an adult. Finally, I believe that it is important to note that most - if not all - breakthroughs in stem cell research are made using adult and umbilical stem cells. In other words, fetal stem cell research is destructive, unneccessary, and ineffective. I think it's time someone stood up for the rights of the unborn children massacared in the name of stem cell research. The research itself is extremely beneficial to modern society; it has saved countless lives. But fetal stem cell research has also killed an untold number of innocent children. Adult and umbilical chord stem cell research is safe, effective, and also much more widely available than its fetal counterpart.
Thank you for your time,
Amy Evon
