| I strongly oppose the proposal of using drugs, such as Lupron, in adolescents. Lupron is a horrible drug that needs to be taken off the market altogether. It certainly does not need to be given to kids who are still developing. I have had two rounds of Lupron shots. It is one of my greatest wishes in life that I had not only never taken the medication but never even heard of it. Lupron is a medication that has ravaged my body. It has left me with a depleted immune system. I constantly must fight infections now. It has destroyed my hair. What hair I haven't lost has become essentially mush on my head. The hair left has the consistency of rubber and comes out in clumps especially when wet. In addition, I have suffered from numbness in my limbs. I have also had crimpling migraines in great frequency. These migraines are not relieved with migraine prevention or onset medication. The drug did not live up to its promise either. I did not receive relief from the symptoms that had me take the medicine in the first place.
Lupron should be taken off the market by the FDA. It should not be given to any other women. It certainly should not be tested in any way on an adolescent. I can only imagine how the drug would ravage a still devloping body phyically and emotionally. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
