The idea that psychiatric drugs help those suffering from "chemical imbalances" in the brain should be removed from and/or left out of all advertisements for psychiatric drugs because this idea is false and misleading. Chemical imbalances are SAID TO EXIST-by psychiatrists-but they have yet to prove that they actually do exist. Until they do, if they ever do, no tv advertisement or magazine advertisement for a psychiatric drug should suggest in any way that these drugs help, or treat, chemical imbalances in the brain because this would be promoting a lie.
