| I am opposed to the freedom that drug companies have used to promote their drugs via the media. When dealing with health issues doctors are supposed to be in the best position to advise on choice of drug. Unfortunately the invasive salesmen of the drug companies have reduced doctors to mere pill pushers and genuine health advice has to be searched for. The integrity of the drug companies generally has been of such a questionable standard that the evidence is showing us who bother to research into it that they have let us down badly and put the health of our citizens at risk. The side effects of many drugs are making headlines now and giving rise to court cases, much deserved as I feel that the FDa has been usurped by the drug companies to defend their products rather than investigate and prosecute the many outrages involving their products. The health supplement industry has a much cleaner record.
Drugs are not the right way to go if you intend to improve health--it has been a wrong road to travel and has become a profitable racket. There are better answers. Therefore allowing drug companies to push their poisons is a crime against the pursuit of better health.
