| Drug company advertising should cease - drugs are not a fix-all for everything. Regarding the advertising for Psychiatric drugs, there is no scientific evidence whatsoever to support the "chemical imbalance" myth. This itself is false advertising and is being used to hook millions of people on drugs. These drugs have dangerous side effects, and it is useless to require the drug manufacturers to write disclaimers in mice-type (very small lettering), as, who reads them? The "chemical imbalance" myth is an easy one to dispell, with no scientific evidence for the "condition" and no predictability of the results of putting a person on one of these mind-altering medications. Colombine, etc, etc, those high school shooters were kids under psychiatric treatement and on these medications. It is sickening to see the kind of society this is becoming. How are you going to be safe if all others around you are on mind-altering drugs? What kind of place will this be for your children? Your grandchildren? Please stop this advertising of drugs, consumers should not be the ones reading and being bombarded with information on how "wonderful" these drugs are, and running to their doctor and asking for a prescription. Something needs to be done. Stop the widespread advertising of this insidious lie - "chemical imbalance" there is no such thing.
Thank you and best regards,
