| I oppose direct to consumer promotion of regulated medical products.
All drugs have potentially harmful side effects and should be prescribed with caution and only if absolutely necessary. Most of the general public doesn't have the knowledge to decide wisely on what, if anything, they should be taking. The pharmacutical industry shouldn't be allowed to try to increase their business and profits by painting glowing pictures of happy people taking drugs. Health care professionals don't need this "help". Public promotion of drugs isn't allowed in Europe and it shouldn't be allowed here.
