| The decisions on these matters should not be governed by politics, but by science. If selling EC over the counter would get it into the hands of the women who need it, which it would; if there is a risk that a woman might not be able to get EC in time if it is kept prescription-only, which there is; if there are fanatics out there in pharmacists coats refusing to fill valid prescriptions for EC, which there are; then it only makes sense to sell EC over the counter and let the woman -- a living, breathing, thinking human being who is more than intelligent enough to make decisions for herself -- make that decision.
Shame on you. Not every woman in this country is a born-again fundamentalist with an extreme view of abortion. In fact, I'd venture to say that those particular nutcases are a very small percentage of the population. Please don't let the fact that they are loud and obnoxious fool you into believing that there are more of them than there are rational, reasonable individuals who believe in NOT sticking their noses into places and decisions that are none of their business.
Stop screwing around and follow the scientific recommendations already!!!
