| I am strongly in support of providing EC over the counter. It is possible to still instruct women on the side effects and the proper ways of using EC without making them frantically try to find a doctor, an especially difficult task if it's a long weekend or the woman does not have a doctor. In the UK, for example, where EC is over the counter, women still have to have a short discussion with the pharmacist, so that the pharmacist can answer questions and give directions.
Why make women needlessly suffer? If the US is trying to limit the number of abortions, help women avoid getting pregnant in the first place.
