I was diagnosed in March this year with the CELIAC Disease and I have found that a very few stores carry Gluten-free products and need to travel 25 miles or so to its location. I have also found even hospitals nurses don't know what Gluten-Free means. It would help a great deal to have food labeled (which I'm still struggling) and also the public made aware of the disease, especially Restaurants preparing the foods.
