GENERAL
GENERAL
I feel that foods should be marked gluten free and mean that there is no trace of gluten in them. I spend 2 hours when I shop just looking at and trying to
figure out if a food is free of gluten. I carry a list of ingredients that might contain gluten. There is very little choice in finding gluten free items
on the shelf even in the natural section. It is imperative that I know which
items on a shelf are gluten free as it is imperative to my personal health. I
have celiac disease with the DH rash and if I ingest a trace of gluten I develop the rash and I must start at square 1 on the gluten free diet. Living gluten free is tough, but it must be done and labels that designate gluten or no gluten would make life easier and healthier. I would like to go through and shop for food and know that what I am eating will not make me sick.
