GENERAL
GENERAL
'Gluten-free' should mean 'no detectable gluten' by the best method currently available which is 3ppm. Currently, we feel that the standard for 'Gluten-free' is too loose, at 200ppm. Most times, packaged food is not marked, so it becomes very time consuming to check with manufactures for each product, either by phone or sometimes on web sites. Under current standards, even some foods marked 'Gluten-free' can trigger a reaction in those of us who are highly sensitive to gluten.
