GENERAL
Shopping for groceries with the labeling system as it exists now is extremely difficult and time consuming. Many members of my family are also GF, so I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. There are many brand names and products I put back on the shelf because I can't make sense of the lengthy ingredients list. I know I would buy many more products if I could just determine more easily whether or not they contain gluten. If it wouldn't cost the manufacturers too much, the words "certified gluten free" or "contains gluten" would be a HUGE help. I have noticed they are already starting to include similar phrases for other ingredients, such as peanuts, dairy, etc. The gluten-free community would be forever grateful. The tiniest amount of gluten hidden in a product can cause a major set back and a rash that takes up to 5 or 6 months to scar over and heal, so my current strategy is to error on the side of paranoia. I would be eternally grateful and a better consumer if this issue could be resolved.
