| I have been diagnosed with celiac disease for about one year now. I am very fortunate in that my grocery store (Ukrops) is very tuned into health matters and especially gluten intolerance. They have a section that has a blue dot on labels that are gluten free. It really makes shopping much easier because I do not have to spend about five minutes (or so) looking at labels, wondering if something is on the do not eat list or not. Most foods in the grocery store do not have the information on the labels so that Ukrops is performing a wonderful service.
However, if I go elsewhere and begin searching for gluten free, I am at a loss in many instances. There are no guides on most labels. Therefore having a gluten free notice on labels would be an immense help to us with the intolerance. I strongly urge that foods be so labeled. It would be good also to have foods prepared in restaurants and take out places to be labeled also.
Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
