| The American Society of Health-Sytem Pharmacists (ASHP) is pleased to respond to the Agency for Healthcare Resarch and Quality's (AHRQ's) Federal Register notice of April 23, 2004, implementing Section 1013 of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 by inviting suggestions regarding the highest priorities for reseemonstration, and evaluation projects to support and improve the Medicare, Medicaid, and State Children Health Insurance (SCHIP) programs. ASHP is the 30,000-member national professional and scientific association that represents pharmacists who practice in hospitals (including outpatient services), health maintenance organizations, long-term care facilities, home care agencies, and other components of health systems.
