| Labels suggesting that soy protien may reduce certain cancers or even lower cholesterol, is not appropriate. We urge the Department to refuse the requests from some food companies to make "qualified" health claims. There are too many unanswered questions, especially that some scientific evidence suggests that soy protein can promote some cancers.
