From: DLS - Deanna Silvers x-4861 [DLS@HTEH.COM] Sent: Monday, April 11, 2005 10:44 AM To: Dockets, FDA Subject: Docket No. 2004N-0456: Food labeling!! I can't believe the microwave popcorn industry has gotten away with how they indicate the serving sizes and calculate the fat grams in their popcorn products! Do you want to know how a "real" person wants to see the label? First, I want those popcorn people to forget about what is in the product pre-popped! Who eats it before it's popped?! Second, I want those popcorn people to say how many servings they think are in one bag. And I don't mean: "Approximately 2.5 servings." That's a ridiculous thought! Let's make it even in each bag: "2 servings" or "3 servings". Then I want them to tell me how many calories, fiber, fat, etc. are in each of those servings. They've got to know that most people eat the entire bag. Why trick us? And why on earth would they put that information for the kernals pre-popped?? That's my two cents.
